After I began to notice CoCo itching herself so much that it actually caused her to start bleeding, my first thought was she must have fleas. So the first thing I did was give her a bath. I didn’t notice any fleas or any other type of parasites as I was bathing her though. Unfortunately, bathing her did not stop the scratching.
The next day, I took her to the vet. She informed me that my CoCo was suffering from dog allergies. I had never heard of this before, but apparently allergies in dogs are actually quite common. The vet bill was $200 for the allergy testing, antibiotics and pills she gave me.
